The objectives of the Department of Applied Foreign Languages (AFL) are to train students in foreign-language skills and to foster in them a global outlook.

The department's focus on improving the language skills needed for the fields of business, information processing, language education, and tourism profession improve students' expertise and competitiveness in the job market of the education, business and tourism industries.

Graduates of AFL are proficient in foreign language skills, which foster international and cross-cultural communication and understanding.

These skills also form the basis for students to develop a modern, holistic global vision and participate in international activities.
